Abraham was called the friend of God.
God desired him to leave his own country
and go to a land that God would show him—
He recognized God’s voice, and obeyed!
He talked and walked lovingly with God
through many circumstances. He believed
God’s promise of a son even when he and
Sarah were past the age of having children!
He trusted “his Friend” enough to prepare
Isaac for sacrifice–believing God was able to
raise him from the dead, and then he heard
God’s voice again which canceled it!
The dictionary says a friend is “a person
whom one knows well and is fond of”.
God wants those who will walk with Him,
talk with Him, lovingly trust and follow His
leading in every situation—not just visiting
Him in a Church setting once a week.
God desires those who—know Him well
and are fond of Him—He calls them Friends!
(Prayer)
Thank you Lord, that we as friends can have
relationship with you!
John 15-15
“No longer do I call you servants, for a servant
does not know what His master is doing; but I
have called you friends, for all things that I heard
from My Father I have made known to you.
