Is communication with Our Lord meant to
be one-sided? Are our prayers just words
to God with no response from Him? If He
responded—would we recognize Him?
In the Bible the boy Samuel indeed heard
a message from God, but thought it came
from someone else. Even so, we can easily
overlook His communication with us–as it
may come in an unexpected manner!
God would communicate with us if we spent
time listening and could recognize His
response–which is rarely an audible voice.
It may instead be a thought, a verse, a song,
an incident, dream or vision that we discern
fits the situation.
We miss His response because we do not
expect Him to say anything! Let us give Him
the opportunity to answer our questions
and relate His message to us as we wait–
listening or watching for Him!
Do we really think He hears? If so, let us
believe that He also “speaks”!
(Prayer)
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the
Spirit says to the churches.” (Rev. 3:6)
John 10:27
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them,
and they follow Me.”
