It seems the worldly definition of love is to
give approval to all a person may do or say–
(good or bad). However, God’s Word tells us
not to love unrighteousness!
There is no higher love than God’s love—
and He is not content to allow that which
would destroy us to remain in us! A child
might enjoy playing in the street, but a
loving parent knows that is not a safe place!
While we were yet sinners Christ Jesus died
in our place. He certainly loved us but did
not approve of our sins because He knew
they ultimately would destroy us!
We came forth from Him by His creation! He
not only formed our bodies but also lovingly
invested in us His design of purpose for our
existence. Now He is longing to bring that
into evidence in His perfect righteousness!
1 Timothy 1:5
“Now the purpose of the commandment is love
from a pure heart, from a good conscience,
and from sincere faith…”
2 Timothy 1:8,9
“…God…who has saved us and called us with a
holy calling, not according to our works, but
according to His own purpose and grace which
was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began…”
