To reconcile is to bring into agreement. As
an example—We want our personal financial
records to be the same as–or Reconciled to
the bank’s ledger.
When we desire truth, we want conflicting
reports to be brought into agreement—
to be reconciled.
In Psalm 19:7-11 the attributes and ways of
God are described as: “perfect, sure, pure,
clean, true, sweet and righteous altogether”.
“And, in keeping them” (or we might say to
be reconciled to them) “is great reward”!
Our coming into alignment or Reconciling to
God is not drudgery–but rather the Psalmist
goes on to say: “the soul is converted, the
simple is made wise, joy fills the heart, the
understanding is enlightened and we are
more satisfied than with fine gold”! In Him
we find the things which will endure forever!!!
We do not come into reconciliation with God
by just trying to replicate His attributes. These
manifest in us when we actually partake of
Him and receive His Indwelling Spirit! It is not
duplication but manifestation!
(Prayer)
Lord, We receive the Reconciling of our ways
to Yours!
John 15:5
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who
abides in Me and I in him, bears much fruit;
for without Me you can do nothing.”
