In the beginning the earth was without form
and void and covered with darkness—but
God said “Let there be light”–and there was
light! Then life began to fill the earth.
Darkness is associated with obscurity and
light with revelation. Darkness keeps one
from seeing reality—light reveals what truly
exists.
Spiritual darkness entered the world through
mankind’s allegiance with Satan–who even
to this day obscures reality and truth. Those
who follow his ways are blinded to all the
consequences of the path they walk.
Not seeing the reality and truth of God, they
try to invent a good life for themselves in the
midst of the darkness that surrounds their
minds—not realizing the rejection of truth
destroys life!
But God once again– is shining light into the
darkness of those who have been deceived—
revealing the path of true life that endures
forever—which they may choose.
(Prayer)
May we not stumble in darkness—when You
would give us light!
John 8:12
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying,
I am the light of the world,
He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness,
but have the light of life.”
