The Apostle Paul wrote to the Colossians asking
them to pray that God would open a door for him
to speak the mystery of Christ. (Colossians 4:3)
To those who are not personally acquainted with
the Spirit of the Lord, Christ is a mystery. They do
not comprehend that in Him is the pathway of life
that is superior to any other manner of living—no
matter how rich or exciting the alternatives may
The Bible explains that as a Good Shepherd, Jesus
is ”the door to the sheepfold”–the entrance to a
place of peace, safety, and provision. He offers
“rivers of living water” (an abundance of life) to
those who will partake of His Holy Spirit! Wisdom
to know how to live and deliverance from evil are
found in Him!
Paul was looking for an “open door”—those who
would gladly receive the good news that true
living is found in the One who initiated life in the
beginning. He who created life–knows how to live!
May we live life God’s way and find Open Doors in
the lives of others who are ready to walk with Him
into Everlasting Life!
“Behold I stand at the door and knock.
If anyone hears My voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him and dine with him,
and he with Me.”
