Most of us have a season of the year which we
prefer. Some love warm sunny days–blooming
flowers. Others enjoy the beauty of falling snow.
Actually, it is the season’s change that attracts our
attention the most– Spring’s budding trees, the
warm days of Summer, Autumn’s falling leaves,
or the chill in the air and the first snow of Winter.
Perhaps God has planned it that way to call our
attention to His workings in the earth—to keep
us progressing from one season to the next.
In like manner we have seasons in our own lives—
growth and maturity become evident. Even so,
in the Spiritual realm, God does not intend for us
to remain babes in Him our whole life through!
Our relationship with God does not appear to be
so automatic as the changes of the seasons or the
maturing of the body. His Presence is like the
Sunshine. When we consciously abide in Him–
dark days and seasons of stunted spiritual growth
are avoided! His nature is reproduced in us!
(Prayer)
Oh Lord, May we not stand still but continually
progress into Your likeness and design for us!
2 Corinthians 3:18
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a
mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed
into the same image from glory to glory,
just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
