According to Biblical passages, the soul of
man-kind seems to be the innermost passion
of his being with which he pursues life. It
can be a place of great delight or dark
distress and the peace or turmoil abiding
there manifests outwardly!
The One who created us intended to be our
soul’s “Store-keeper” satisfying our longings
and delights with His Glorious Presence!
Psalm 42:11 states “Why are you cast down,
O my soul? And why are you disquieted within
me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him,
The help of my countenance and my God.”
If we reject Him and usurp control, we have
no other source to satisfy the place reserved
only for Him! There is still passion and longing,
but no other pursuit in the world will be able
to take His place!
The great news is that we can surrender the
governorship to Him—not holding back
anything from His jurisdiction—and He will
“Restore Our Souls” with the righteousness,
peace and joy which are found only in Him!
(Prayer)
Oh Lord, May we allow you to place within us the
abundance of Your Spirit that will satisfy the soul!
Psalm 103:1-5
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me,
bless His holy name!…forget not all His benefits;
Who forgives all your iniquities…heals all your
diseases…redeems your life from destruction…
crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your
youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
