Jesus’ disciples followed Him and experienced
the Power and Blessing of His earthly Presence.
They were unbelievably troubled when He
explained He would be sacrificed for humanity—
and then return to Heaven in order to send back
the Power of the Holy Spirit to work in and
through each of them!
It was hard for them to calculate how the Holy
Spirit could be more necessary for them than
His physical Presence! However, when The
Spirit descended in Glorious Demonstration
(filling and abiding in each one), they realized
the Power, Comfort, and Wisdom of—
His Indwelling Spirit!
Now we have the same privilege of being
baptized in the powerful Spirit of Our
God (not just silently–but with the same
demonstration of the miracle of speaking in
other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance)!
Why should we just desire as little as possible
of God’s Marvelous Presence when He offers
us as much as we will receive—and as we
behold the events of our day, we must see
the need of God’s Power working through us!

Lord, Our desire is for more of Your Spirit—
not less!

says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit
upon all flesh; Your sons and your daughters
shall prophesy, Your young man shall see
visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.”
