What is the Eternal Value of our short earthly
life? The Bible compares it to the blossom of a
flower or to a vapor that appears for a moment!
Many try hard to make it permanently happy—
studying in the first third of life—building and
accumulating in the second third— finally in the
latter part– downsizing and retiring!
However, there is an extremely valuable thread
of God’s purpose for our existence woven through-
out our entire earthly life. Not only the present,
but our eternity is affected by how we respond to
His design!
The Bible speaks of every person standing before
God to give an account of the deeds done here.
These are not just nice things we have done to
others, but did we follow God’s design? There will
be great rewards for those who do, but all other
works will perish.
There is a choice of earthly paths—we can be the
author of our own plans and attempt to fulfill them,
or we can allow God to be the Author and the
Finisher of His design in us–for which He has great
eternal reward!

God, May we realize we were created for Your
purpose, which alone has a valuable outcome!
