In the Old Testament, the statutes that God
gave to mankind were written on stone. It
was a covenant between God and the people–
that would guide them and guard them from
a worthless life
As a result of them struggling between the
wisdom of God and their own desires, they
broke the marvelous covenant!
In the New Testament, Jesus came to bring
power to overcome wayward desires by
implanting His covenant in the hearts of those
who would allow Him to do so. Thus, through
Him, we have access to life worth living now–
and eternal life in the hereafter!

Oh God, Engrave Your will and Your desires
in our innermost being.
May our lives not be worthless!
